Orange Regional's expert team of neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons have the skill and experience to get you back on your feet faster.

Most people think of neurosurgeons as "brain surgeons," but in fact, the majority of operations most neurosurgeons perform are on the spine. Neurosurgeons have completed a six or seven year residency after medical school, and some elect to pursue further training in a field such as spine surgery. After a period of practice, a neurosurgeon is eligible to take an oral examination for Board certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

An orthopedic surgeon is a physician who has completed a five or six year residency in orthopedic surgery, followed by a Fellowship in spine surgery, which is usually one year. After a period of practice, the orthopedic spine surgeon is eligible to take an oral examination for Board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

These are just the most common procedures performed at Orange Regional. To find a physician or learn more about the latest advancement in spine and orthopedic surgery, call 1-888-321-ORMC (6762).
